2.Geiranger Fjord: Downhill Self-Guided Bike Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 30 reviews · 3 hours · from $156

Meet in Geiranger for a safety briefing and bike fitting, then ride from Djupvatnet Lake at 1,030 meters above sea level down toward the fjord. You set the pace without a guide, stopping at Flydalsjuvet and other viewpoints. The ride takes about 2.5 hours.

“It's not really mountain biking as you drive down from the pass on the main road with all the camping vans and big tour busses. So you have to be careful and stop all the time as the road is very busy during the peak season. Unfortunately there is no dedicated mountain bike trail.”
